St. Bartholomew's Church, Southsea

The first church (wooden) was built in 1858 and a more permanent church erected in 1862. It originally contained a Gray and Davison organ which was replaced by a Hill instrument in 1877. The choir organ was added in 1880 for £190. The organ was "disposed" off in favour of a Compton 347 Electrone in 1954.

Former organists: Mr A Green, Leslie Gibbs, Thomas Newboult, John Jackson and Derek Gautrey.
