Domus Dei (Royal Garrison Church) |
| Domus Dei began life as a Hospital Chapel being founded around 1205.
In a night raid in 1941, the church was set on fire and then a high
explosive hit the nave partly extinguishing the fire. Because of this the
Chancel and organ were saved. Former organists: T.G Risley, Mr Saxby, Walter James, J.w Hoar, John Lewington, Cyril Stevens, Derek Fry, Stan Matthews, Arthur Rose and Daisy Catherine Taylor. |
