St. Thomas's Cathedral, Old Portsmouth

There is little mention of an organ here until the Abraham Jordan of 1718. Successive rebuilds were carried out by George Pike England (1798), James Davis (1807), Gray & Davison (1841) and Hunter. James Ivemy carried out a rebuild in 1920. The organ was removed to John Compton's workshops in 1939 and destroyed in an air-raid whilst in storage. The organ from St. Michael and All Angel's was installed by Walker in 1947 and rebuilt by Eustice and Aldridge in 1976. The organ was removed in 1994 and replaced with a Nicholson from Holy Trinity Bolton. The Nave division was installed in 2001.
